"GEEK SQUAD AND MANAGEMENT IS THE WORST! \nI had a computer issue and Geek Squad said it would be 30 minutes to fix. Instead an hr. and half later they just left and deleted my email + my folders for work. Then 15 HOURS later, missing 3+ days work and my email and folders still not working properly with errors everywhere, the Supervisor told me it was "Out of Their Scope." He gave me a list of people to call and none even understood Microsoft. I contacted their Manager, Matthew Bonner, Manager Best Buy/Geek Squad and he didn't even bother to call me back. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. HE SHOULD BE FIRED! Go somewhere else!"

"Bought a computer from Best buy last year. I've had severe problems with this. It freezes up making a horrible noise like it's looping a final tone no matter what I do. I've taken it back to Best buy on multiple occasions. I bought the protection plan and they can't do anything about it. Do not buy a computer from Best buy. They will not honor their service agreement."

All a 1693 needs is a good stinger and bye bye to everything else on the road. Nothing sounds like a 1693 when it idles it sounds like a million ballpin hammers randomly hitting each other. Once you got going it was a actually one of the more quieter engine, man what a turbo whistle they had! The harder you worked them the better they like it.

yes sir! actually, googling 1693 cat is how i found this forum. i could not remember for the life of me what the number of the motor was, i knew it was not a 33 or 3406, and i was randomly putting in digits-- the actual search was 'cat 16' that found y'all. so, before even searching your site, i had read one thread and know WAY more than i did!
A 1693 Cat is the pre 3406 six cylinder, without looking it up I think the displacement is about the same as 3406 , overhead cam precombustion ,jacket water aftercooled about the same turbo as a 92U precombustion 3406 , they were usually 375 or 425 HP and responded well to hotrodding in their day they were a force to be reconned with .

Metabo anzuschaffen. Wie der Zufall es so wollte, habe ich nun eine EB PKF 255 mit kurzem Schiebeschlitten (Bj. 1997) und eine Metabo Tk U 1693 mit langem Schiebeschlitten (2001) hier bei mir stehen, kann sie in Ruhe vergleichen, mich aber doch nicht so einfach für eine entscheiden.
